Your mission

In this role, you will take ownership of our IT landscape, ensuring stable and reliable operations as well as the continuous improvement and secure development of all systems. You combine IT leadership with a strong hands-on approach in a focused IT department of a boutique consultancy.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the IT systems and ensure reliable day-to-day operations
  • Drive and implement the IT and AI strategy across the organisation
  • Manage and further develop the IT infrastructure, including hyperconverged environments (Dell VxRail)
  • Manage IT security and monitoring solutions (Fortinet Security Fabric, SIEM, Icinga) as well as patch management (Baramundi)
  • Lead and develop a small team (1 direct report) with a strong team spirit
  • Support the consulting team in implementing AI solutions (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Azure AI)
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and information security requirements in collaboration with external partners
  • Support and coordinate TISAX certification activities across locations
  • Manage and further develop collaboration and project tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Act as the central IT point of contact and provide hands-on technical support 

Your profile

  • Degree or vocational training in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or IT operations in a small to mid-sized environment, including virtualised or hyperconverged environments (e.g. Dell VxRail or similar)
  • Practical experience in IT security, monitoring, endpoint and patch management
  • Proven experience with IT compliance and certification processes, ideally including TISAX or ISO 27001
  • Experience with collaboration and IT service tools such as Jira and Confluence is a plus
  • Interest in and practical exposure to AI-driven technologies and their business applications
  • Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style with strong prioritisation skills and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to act as a trusted IT partner for the TWS team
  • Ability to work independently in an operational role combining strategic responsibility with hands-on execution
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage
