Intern in Software Engineering (all genders)

Munich, Utrecht
Full-time
Intern / Student

Your mission

We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to help us build, maintain, and improve AI-powered digital products and workflows, with a focus on agentic AI systems. You will work closely with our small, fast-moving core team to turn ideas into real features  from rapid prototypes to production-ready components.

This internship is ideal for motivated MSc students who want hands-on experience with modern AI engineering, LLMs, and agentic workflows, and are eager to learn and contribute from day one.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, prototype, and refine AI workflows and tools using agentic engineering platforms (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
  • Develop and monitor agentic AI workflows (planning, tool use, multi-step agents) for products like PIECRAFT and future auction/negotiation tools
  • Automate and integrate data workflows, connecting databases, APIs, and internal data sources into robust pipelines
  • Improve internal and client-facing web interfaces (dashboards, scenario builders, configuration flows) in collaboration with the team
  • Experiment with new AI models, frameworks, and SDKs, documenting findings and sharing insights
  • Collaborate directly with experienced product experts, receiving guidance, mentoring, and regular feedback

Your profile

  • Currently enrolled in an MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI, or a related field, with hands-on experience in building and deploying AI or agentic applications (university projects, personal projects, or internships)
  • Strong programming skills (preferably Python) and familiarity with web technologies (e.g., Flask); comfortable working with APIs, databases, and data pipelines
  • Analytical, structured and solution-oriented mindset, able to break down complex systems and improve them step by step
  • Curious, persistent, and adaptable when facing ambiguous or complex challenges; proactive in learning and iterating quickly
  • Clear communicator in English, able to explain reasoning to technical and non-technical stakeholders; collaborative and able to work effectively in small, fast-moving teams
  • Interest in game theory–driven products and environments

Why us?

You will be actively involved in shaping and improving our AI-powered digital products and workflows, contributing to their development, prototyping, and automation. This role is ideal for a proactive and resourceful intern eager to gain hands-on experience in agentic AI and modern software engineering.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • Full‑time internship (40h/week) for 3 – 6 months
  • Work on real AI-powered products with meaningful impact
  • Freedom to experiment, propose ideas, and see them implemented quickly
  • Hybrid work setup in Munich or Utrecht
  • Supportive and diverse team environment
  • Company activities and social events
